Daniel Yo-Ling (he/they/他) is a queer Taiwanese American writer and independent scholar based in Taipei. Previously pursuing graduate studies in cultural anthropology, Daniel moved to Taipei from the United States in 2020 to explore alternative modes of writing and scholarship. Their scholarly work has been presented at academic conferences such as the annual meetings of the American Anthropology Association (2019) and North American Taiwan Studies Association (2021), and their writing has been featured in outlets such as Footnotes and The News Lens.

Daniel currently serves as an editor at New Bloom Magazine and primarily writes about gender and (a)sexuality, ethics, race, and leftist politics across the US and Asia Pacific. Please see the Research and Writing pages for the latest updates!
